Performing Arts

Windsor Charter Academy's Performing Arts program offers students a variety of opportunities to explore, showcase and engage in a high rigor of performance.

Middle and high school students have the opportunity to participate in a variety of performing arts classes and extra-curricular activities such as band, choir, orchestra, and theater.

Theatre Program

Our middle and high school theatre programs are dedicated to providing students with a high-quality educational experience in the art of theatre performance. The content of our drama education classes covers everything from classic literature to modern-day scenes.

Music

The music department offers students an interactive, detailed, and challenging experience in all ensembles.

Band

Concert band is an opportunity for students who are new musicians, learning a new instrument, or growing their skills as musicians. Symphonic band is dedicated to strengthening individual instrumental technique and large ensemble skills.

In high school wind ensemble, students continue to develop the skills of more experienced musicians. This band explores a diverse repertoire, various music genres, and advanced instrumental techniques.

Students participating in the band should plan on supplying their own instruments. The main instruments taught in concert band include flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, euphonium (baritone horn), and percussion. In symphonic band, switching to oboe, bassoon, French horn, or tuba is possible.

Choir

The choir program at Windsor Charter Academy fosters a love of music from diverse cultures, time periods, and genres while educating and equipping our students in the study and execution of the musical performing arts. We strive to prepare students for a lifetime of musical experiences and personal enrichment.
