Once this is complete, they will complete a final middle and high school walkthrough. Then, we will meet at the elementary school around 1:45 p.m. for a final send-off with some of our youngest Firebirds! Parents are welcome to join us outside of the elementary school for this event.
CONVOCATION
This is an all-school assembly held on Wednesday, May 15th, at 2:15 p.m. Parents are invited to attend, but not all seniors will receive an award. Parents will receive an email if their student receives an award.
BACCALAUREATE SERVICE
This is a service offered to seniors, families, and friends by Student Pastor Jesse Wyrick of Cornerstone Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 15th, at 6:00 p.m. in the MS/HS Gymnasium. Students should arrive by 5:30 p.m., dress for this service is semi-formal attire, no caps and gowns. If you have any questions about this service, you can reach out to Student Pastor Wyrick at jwyrick87@gmail.com or Cornerstone Baptist Church at 970-686-7214.
SENIOR BREAKFAST
We have a special Senior Breakfast for all seniors and three of their family members, which will be held on Thursday, May 16th at 9:30 a.m. This year, due to the number of seniors and capacity limits of the current MS/HS Gymnasium, we will be hosting the breakfast at the Embassy Suites in Loveland. A continental breakfast will be offered at the Embassy Suites. The price per person will be determined and sent to families at the end of March. The senior slideshow will be played during this breakfast, and students will receive their stoles, honor cords, and other regalia at this breakfast.
On April 17th, at the mandatory senior meeting, seniors will receive their senior breakfast order slips to be completed and turned in by May 1st.
ROSE ORDERS
During the WCA graduation ceremony, seniors will have an opportunity to go into the crowd and give roses to those who have helped them on their journey to graduation. This may be family members, staff members, or friends. Most students typically order ten roses, but it varies for each student. Students do not need to bring the roses to the ceremony. More information on ordering roses will be distributed at the senior meeting on April 17th.
GRADUATION REHEARSAL
Graduation rehearsal will be held directly following the Senior Breakfast. This rehearsal is closed to family and friends; only graduating seniors and WCA staff are asked to attend.
GRADUATION
Graduation will be held on Thursday, May 16th, at 7:00 p.m. at the Embassy Suites Loveland. Seniors are asked to arrive by 6:15 p.m., and doors will open at 6:30 p.m. for guests. Each senior can bring eight guests to the ceremony and will receive their graduation tickets at senior checkout on May 14th. We will soon communicate the process for graduation tickets, but we are asking that the eight guests arrive together to be ushered to seats together.
Reserved Seating at Graduation
Volunteers can log their service hours during their student's junior and senior years for an opportunity to earn reserved seating at graduation. Service hours over the two-year period will be tallied before graduation. The top volunteer will have an 8-seat section reserved near the front of the stage at their senior's high school graduation.
This year, reserved seats will be available through an online auction. More information on this opportunity will be released in the coming weeks after Spring Break.
