Attention all 8th graders! Join us for an exciting night of basketball at the Firebird Facility on Tuesday, January 21st, as the Firebirds take on Strasburg High School! This is an excellent opportunity to experience the high school sports atmosphere and cheer on the Firebirds!

Eighth-grade students will begin registering for high school courses in January! Families are invited to attend our High School Registration Night Webinar to learn more about the registration process.

Believe it or not, the first half of the school year is coming to a close. This is such an exciting time, but it can also elevate stress levels. Preparing for tests doesn’t have to be stressful!

WCA’s middle school teachers and staff members are celebrating “12 Days of Christmas” and are having some holiday fun. We invite our students to join in on the festivities!

Anxiety is a common experience for students of all ages, especially as they navigate school, friendships, and personal challenges. Middle school can be an exciting time, but it can also be overwhelming for students.

In a wonderful showcase of talent and creativity, the Windsor Charter Academy Middle School Theatre Club took the stage last weekend in a charming adaptation of The Wizard of Oz! Under the theatrical direction of Kel Madigent and the musical guidance of Skye Montoya, the audience was taken on a journey down the yellow brick road.

Windsor Charter Academy is giving families an opportunity to donate gifts to those in need this holiday season! From November 18th through December 19th, a Giving Tree will be placed in the middle school front office with gift tags listing various donation ideas.

WCA’s Middle School PTC is sponsoring a few “12 Days of Christmas” events to celebrate our staff members! If you would like to support this event, we need donations! Please sign up here to donate.

Join us on Tuesday, December 10th for our MS/HS Winter Music Concert & Art Show held in the Firebird Facility high school gym. Middle school students will perform starting at 5:30 p.m. followed by high school students starting at around 6:30 p.m. WCA’s Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Bella Voce, High School Mixed Choir, Mixed Ensemble, and Jazz Band will perform a variety of musical pieces they have prepared this semester.

All current 8th-grade students and their families are invited to attend our High School Parent Information Meeting on Tuesday, December 17th, at 3:45 p.m. in the Firebird Facility!

Middle school students will do their iReady testing in English and math classes from November 18th through November 21st. Students will have review sessions and take their final exams from December 13th through 20th. On December 19th & 20th, students will take final exams and will be released early at 11:09 a.m.

The MS Parent-Teacher Club is hosting a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, November 13th! Families are asked to sign up to bring a dish or supplies for the meal. Let’s show our teachers how much we support them!

Windsor Charter Academy welcomes families and veterans to our Veterans Day Assembly on November 11th in the Firebird Facility Gym! The assembly will begin at 2:15 p.m., but visitor check-in will start at 1:45 p.m. at the south door of the Firebird Facility. We are excited to honor those who have served our country!

This year, we are pleased to continue our partnership with Caring Canines, a local nonprofit organization that specializes in animal-assisted therapy. Founded to support students in educational settings, Caring Canines brings proven benefits to our school community.

We want to extend our appreciation to our Firebird Families for coming out and supporting our middle school music students! The MS Concert Band, under the direction of Mr. Koster, performed several selections, including the classic "Hot Cross Buns."

The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) Math Contest is open to any middle or high school student interested in math! The first round of questions is sent to Windsor Charter Academy from UNC and administered in-house at WCA during a 2-day window.

We will be celebrating Halloween at school on Wednesday, October 30th! Students are invited to wear their costumes to school but must follow the guidelines below. This is not a Free Dress Day, so if students are not in costume, they should follow our regular dress code guidelines.
