Windsor Charter Academy recently established the Share the Light Firebird Scholarship to celebrate the positive impact that our Firebirds will have on the world when they graduate. Student recipients are selected based on their character, good works, and kindness.

Students at Windsor Charter Academy will be taking their Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) tests in April! CMAS tests are meaningful and relevant assessments that support rigorous academic standards.

Our Middle School Spring Dance will be on Friday, April 8th from 3:45 to 6:00 p.m. Tickets will be sold in advance and at the door for $5.00 (cash only).

On Thursday, March 17th students are welcome to celebrate St Patrick’s Day by wearing green. Students who wear green may also have a Free Jean Day. High school dress code must be followed.

All middle school students have received their registration forms for the 2022-2023 school year! Forms should be turned into the middle school front office by March 14th.

On February 15th, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. we hosted our Middle & High School Character Education, Social-Emotional, and Mental Health Webinar! The recording is now available.

This year all students will be scheduled into a Multimedia Literacy elective, where they will focus on Core Knowledge content. The culminating event will be a Core Knowledge Showcase, where students will share their projects and celebrate their learning over the quarter!

As an extension of in-class learning, 6th grade students are invited to attend a grade-level movie presentation of Julius Caesar. Students are welcome to bring their own snacks and beverages from home to be consumed in the MS Commons.

We are looking for volunteers to help support supervision during our lunch rotations from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. If you are interested please reach out to Tara Schwindt.

March 4th marks the end of our 3rd Quarter. Please make sure you and your student is checking Infinite Campus, turning in any late or missing assignments, and communicating with teachers if you have any questions.

The Society of Women Engineers and Colorado State University have invited Windsor Charter Academy middle school girls to participate in Introduce A Girl to Engineering Day! This is a free all-day event for girls in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. This in-person, interactive event allows participants hands-on experience with anything they may encounter within S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) fields

On Monday, February 14th students are welcome to celebrate Valentine's Day by wearing red and pink. Students who wear red or pink may also have a Free Jean Day. High school dress code must be followed.

Students who join Art Club have an opportunity to work with a variety of materials in a setting that offers quality, one-on-one assistance. Students will focus on different materials depending on the interests of the club members, but options include: clay, screen printing, paper mache, photography, painting, mixed media, charcoal and much more!
