We would like to extend our appreciation to the Kawasaki Kids Foundation for sponsoring our teacher appreciation lunch at all three schools! The PTC of the elementary, middle, and high schools would like to thank this dedicated foundation and the Logan family who continually support our schools!
About the Kawasaki Kids Foundation
The mission of the Kawasaki Kids Foundation is to build a friendly and knowledgeable community to help increase awareness of Kawasaki Disease and ultimately save kids’ hearts. Cooper L., a high school student at WCA, also known as DJ lil’ Coop, was diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease when he was 3 years old. Copper was left with a large coronary aneurysm.
Did you know that 6,000 children are diagnosed with Kawasaki Disease in the United States each year and 25% of those children will develop a heart disease when not caught in time and without treatment?
This wonderful foundation has raised more than $1 million since 2013 to support families of diagnosed children and to help fund research for a cure for Kawasaki Disease.
