On May 5th, 6th, and 7th from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. students in grades 5 - 11 will have the opportunity to participate in a Cheer Tryout Clinic. This clinic will be held at the MS/HS gymnasium.

Windsor Charter Academy’s National Honor Society, in coordination with UCHealth, is hosting a Blood Drive on Friday, April 30th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The UCHealth bus will be parked in front of the middle/high school building.

It’s that time of year! Our Parent Teacher Club has coordinated with 1st Day School Supplies so parents can purchase school supply boxes for the 2021-2022 school year. Supply lists have been approved by teachers and administration.

Join us for Scholastic Book Fair! The Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the elementary school library Monday, May 3rd through Friday, May 7th. We are excited to be able to provide this in-person event to our students!

Windsor Charter Academy is seeking candidates to serve on our Executive Board! Due to our school closure last March, WCA was unable to hold its annual election last May. If parents or other community stakeholders are interested in running for a Board position, please visit our website for information about the application process. Windsor Charter Academy High School National Honor Society will be hosting their annual Denver Street School Donation Drive from April 5th through April 30th. Families are asked to donate school supplies to at-risk youth in the Denver area.

All Windsor Charter Academy students are eligible to receive meal packages during spring break. If your student would like to receive a meal package, the Weld RE-4 school district will be distributing 6-days worth of meals - breakfast and lunch - on Monday, March 29th from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

At Windsor Charter Academy, we want to ensure all students are college and career ready! Each year, our 11th grade students are required to complete a Job Shadow Day to explore career opportunities. We are looking for parents or community members who might be interested in allowing a student to shadow them for one day between now and April 30th.

Windsor Charter Academy is hosting a MS & HS Cheer Tryout Informational Meeting on Friday, April 16th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. to discuss the 2021-2022 cheer program. All interested students in grades 5-11 and their parents are invited to attend.

Windsor Charter Academy is hiring a full-time middle school math teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. By adding an additional math teacher to our current middle school math team, WCA can further support student growth and achievement by offering more sections of “Everyday Math” and Math Lab.

Students at Windsor Charter Academy will be taking their Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) tests in April! CMAS tests are meaningful and relevant assessments that support rigorous academic standards. The state’s summative tests measure students’ mastery of grade-level standards and growth over time.

We are excited that our student athletes are able to participate in sports this year! To ensure that we continue to have successful seasons for our athletes, we need to fill a few coaching positions.
