Coach Bruce Dick will host Beyond Sports: Presidents’ Day Basketball Camp on Monday, February 17th, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Windsor Recreation Center Auxiliary Gym. The camp is $35 per person and is open to 1st through 8th graders. Click here to register!

Jude M., a 1st grader at WCA, earned 2nd place at the Snow Queen’s Gambit Chess Tournament this past Saturday. Jude competed in the 1st grade division. Congratulations on your amazing accomplishment, Jude!

Windsor Charter Academy is excited to offer a variety of extracurricular activities for our students! To offer these programs, we rely on the ability to hire club advisors and intramural coaches. We have recently had to cancel boys’ intramural basketball and Cooking Club Session 3 because we do not have a coach or club advisor.

We had a fantastic turnout for our Middle School Parent Information Meeting! The presentation from the meeting can be found here. Mrs. Perciante and Mrs. Boyes will meet with 5th-grade students to discuss the course registration process.

Good news! We were able to hire a basketball coach for girls’ basketball. Registration is now open!

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Honor Roll Assembly for our 2nd quarter will be held on Friday, January 31st at 8:30 a.m. in the ES Gymnasium. Doors will open at 8:10 a.m. Parents of students who earned an honor roll recognition will receive an email inviting them to the assembly. 

The countdown is on! This is the last month of ordering to guarantee your student receives a yearbook. We will order a few extra copies to sell at the end of the year. If you want to ensure your student receives a yearbook, please place your order by January 31st!

We are excited to celebrate Valentine's Day with our students! Students can wear red and pink on Wednesday, February 12th, to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held in classrooms from January 27th through February 13th. Teachers will create sign-up forms and share them with parents. The spring conferences are optional to attend, except for students with any of the following concerns: D’s or F’s in reading, writing, or math, READ Plans, SST, or behavior concerns.

Windsor Charter Academy’s 5th Grade Student Council is doing their annual fundraiser for Children’s Hospital Colorado! Families are invited to purchase a Candy Gram, which includes a sucker and personalized note, for students, friends, or teachers. Candy Grams are $1 each. All proceeds will be donated to Children’s Hospital Colorado!

On Tuesday, January 28th, all students need to wear their formal dress uniform for class pictures. Our elementary school formal dress uniform consists of blue bottoms, a white dress shirt, and a school tie.

Second-grade students have been learning about famous Americans as part of the Core Knowledge unit! On January 24th at 12:10 p.m., guests are invited to join us for our Core Knowledge celebration. Students will share their bobblehead creations and an informational paragraph on the famous Americans they were assigned.

Our 3rd-grade students are ready to celebrate all they have learned in their Core Knowledge Investigating Forces unit! Families are invited to join us for our classroom celebrations from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. on January 23rd in our 3rd-grade classrooms.

Mountain View Garage Doors paid for our teachers and staff members to have warm pastries for breakfast. We appreciate you for supporting our teachers!

Believe it or not, it’s time to start thinking about middle school! All current 5th-grade students and their families are invited to attend our Middle School Parent Information Meeting on Wednesday, January 8, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. in the MS Gymnasium.

Our students earned a Firebird Dress Day for meeting their goal of filling boxes for our Food Drive! On December 13th, students are invited to participate in Firebird Dress Day.

We are excited to celebrate the holidays with our students! Students will be able to wear holiday/festive wear on Friday, December 20th, to celebrate our last day before Winter Break. We can’t wait to see all of their festive attire!
