Each semester, students can be recognized for a unique award at our middle school - the Firebird on Fire Award. Students who receive a Firebird on Fire Award demonstrate The Eight Keys of Excellence!
Kushi U., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird on Fire Award winner! His teachers shared, "Kushi exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated and engaged learner. He consistently puts in the effort to succeed and approaches challenges with a "This Is It!" attitude. Always asking thoughtful, clarifying questions, Kushi demonstrates a commitment to understanding and growth. Beyond academics, Kushi is a cheerful presence, uplifting those around him with his positive energy. He confidently self-advocates and shows maturity and a drive to succeed. Thank you, Kushi, for being such an inspiring example to our school community!”
Adyson M., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird on Fire Award winner! Her teachers shared, "Adyson is an outstanding example of responsibility and dedication. She takes full ownership of her learning, consistently stays organized, and uses her notes effectively to excel in her studies. Her hard work and commitment shine through in everything she does. Olive N., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird on Fire Award winner! Her teachers shared, "Olive always puts full effort into every assignment she is given, no matter what it is or what class it is for. She always ‘Speaks with Good Purpose’ when adding to class discussions and looks out for others. Olive is consistent and shows up every day ready to be kind and ready to work hard. We are so lucky to have her at WCA!”
Connor P., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird on Fire Award winner! His teachers shared, "Connor shows "This Is It!" by always trying his best on all of his assignments. Dexter N., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird on Fire Award winner! His teachers shared, "Dexter truly stands out as a role model for his peers. He consistently shows kindness, not just through his actions but also in the way he speaks to others. In class, he’s always thoughtful and ready to help, creating a positive atmosphere for everyone around him. When faced with challenges, Dexter approaches them with intelligence and respect, always giving his best, no matter the difficulty. Time and again, he’s proven to be one of the most well-rounded and high-achieving 8th graders at our school.
