Each week, our teachers nominate one student from each grade level to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The 8 Keys of Excellence!
Kendall J., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mr. Gallie shared, "Kendall is a dedicated student who exemplifies an outstanding work ethic. She excels both individually and in group settings, and masterfully balances the demands of being an athlete while maintaining exceptional academic performance. As a key member of the basketball A-team, Kendall demonstrates leadership, discipline, and perseverance both on and off the court. Great job, Kendall!”
Wyatt P., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Becker shared, "Wyatt has been a great addition to WCA. He has very easily transitioned to our expectations and level of academic achievement. In science, he is always on task and consistently helps his peers when they struggle to understand science concepts. Wyatt works well with everyone and is always kind. I appreciate all your help and hard work in science, Wyatt!"
Willa B., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Munroe shared, "Willa shines brightly in our science classroom with her hard work and dedication. She always jumps into any task with enthusiasm and is quick to lend a helping hand to both her teachers and her classmates. Willa consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic, which was most recently demonstrated during our science seminar. She did an excellent job of participating in our seminar and writing a well-supported CER response. Thank you, Willa, for bringing so much joy to our classroom. We are lucky to have you!"
